Loveeeee is in the air… at Carmel’s dating seminar!
For this year’s dating seminar, two former Carmel counselors, Quyen and Peon, came in to talk about Christian dating. Coming in with experience and knowledge, they mainly covered on how to date the right way (the Christian way), and how we should maintain the right focus, date the right one, and draw lines. Proper courtship, feelings in a good relations, and steps to take were also mentioned.
We also had a period of Q&A where, anonymously, they answered questions such as, “How do we know he/she is the right one?”, “Doesn’t the Bible discourage marriage” “What is a date?”, etc etc. At the end, we were challenged to come up with lists of Top 10 Must Haves and Top 10 Can’t Haves.
Thanks again to Quyen and Peon for coming in!

180-Carmel Games Night!
I realize this post is a little late, but here’s just a recap of the night!
Meeting in the Carmel basement, Carmel and the 180 University fellowship had a night filled with awesome bonding games, tasty ice cream sundaes, and loads of fun! After some Carmel-led worship to start off the night, committee members from 180 led some fun, interactive games.
The 1st game involved getting into groups, introducing yourself to everyone else in the group, and then, based on categories, nominate one person per group who best fit that category!
The 2nd game was a classic game of hot potatoes, except with a twist! A wrapped up mystery prize (prizes actually), was passed around until the music stopped, where the person holding it had to rip off one of the layers (there were around 12 layers). Either an embarrassing task or a delightful treat awaited the beholder!
For the the 3rd game, the classic ‘couch game’ was played, where team members had to get their team to fill in the 4 empty seats through strategy and memorization skills.
Finally, the night was ended off with some tasty ice cream sundaes!
Thanks again to 180 for leading the games and providing the ice cream sundaes!

COFFEE HOUSE! It’s the day we’ve been all waiting for!
Come on out @7:00pm in the fellowship hall of WCAC for an awesomeee time of fun, food, fellowship, and entertainment! There will be numerous acts ranging from singing, to videos, to skits! You can’t miss it, and neither can your friends, so don’t forget to invite your friends to this friendly event! The coffee house occurs only once every year, so if your friends don’t feel comfortable coming to church or fellowship groups, this is perfect for them!
Not only will there be talented performances, but also awesome preaching from P.Rob, who will definitely talk about the Gospel message so that newcomers get a chance to hear the good news about Jesus! Good entertainment, good food, good preaching… it’s all there! So bring yourself and your friends!

This week in Carmel, (yes it is supposed to be a surprise, but lucky for you if you checked the site) we are having a guest speaker come in to give us a presentation about the end times. With all the recent events, such as the Japan earthquake, the May 21 ordeal, the oil spill, the Haiti earthquake, and much more, the topic of “the end of the world” is an appropriate one.
Come on out to hear what God’s word has to say in all of this, and how we should respond to this in our own lives.
